I was going through conjecture instances we have on this wiki and found our use of conjecture for this character which bares absolutely no resemblance to the comics and only has one similarity which is that he sometimes has ties with Spider-Man. Given that the actor’s name is Abraham, showing that there was likely no intention of connecting to the comics, I believe this is a false use of conjecture. - Raff • Message Wall • Contributions 17:15, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
- I wasn't even aware of the comic character until Raff pointed it out to me. I also believe this conjecture is false. Malachi108 (talk) 20:37, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
- Personally I think that the fact that every other one of Peter's classmates in Homecoming is a Spider-Man character and Abe Brown in the comics has fought Spider-Man, the conjecture is fine. -

- The only kind of similar thing is that he has teamed up with Spider-Man... in 1975. He does not resemble a martial artist from Harlem. - Raff • Message Wall • Contributions 21:09, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- I agree with Jessica. Every other classmate of Peter's from Homecoming (specifically the debate club students) are named after Spider-Man comic characters. Why would Abe be the exception? Why would he be the only one potentially just named after his actor? While he may not be a direct adaptation of Abe Brown, since everyone else was named after comic characters, it stands to reason he was too. • MJLogan95 | Message Wall • Contributions 10:10, 13 April 2025 (UTC)
- While I understand the reasoning of naming them after comic characters, I still feel this is false conjecture. We can note they were named after the comic characters without making their full in-universe name the false conjecture.
Pr0tato210 | Message Wall • Contributions 11:02, 13 April 2025 (UTC) - Sure every other one is a comics character, but Abe Brown in the comics does not hold similarities with this character. And the actor's name does matter in this case because it is the only one that matches the character's name. - Raff • Message Wall • Contributions 00:51, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- It is also important to note that Sally Avril is also taken from conjecture, so using the argument that all of the other classmates are comics characters and this wouldn't be different does not really work. - Raff • Message Wall • Contributions 01:22, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- So was Cindy Moon before we used a Variety article. Charles Murphy and Seymour O'Reilly are also conjecture. We were given first name, and the previous administration conjecturally applied surnames from the comics. • MJLogan95 | Message Wall • Contributions 10:52, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- But this character's application does not have enough similarities with the comics version. - Raff • Message Wall • Contributions 15:03, 14 April 2025 (UTC)

- Would the same not apply to most of the other classmates? We only conjecturally apply last names to them because they are characters associated with Spider-Man, but that and their first names really seem to be the only connection between them and their supposed comics counterparts. This is reminding me of the situation we had with the World Council Members being assigned first names by conjecture based on connecting them to comic characters who happened to have the same last name, even if they only had a limited connection with one another. I agree that this is currently relatively weak conjecture unless there is another source like we found with Cindy Moon, but I also feel that we still need to assess the conjectural names of the Homecoming classmates more broadly in the same manner. - Exactly. Although a fair thing to note is that the other classmates were at least classmates in the comics. Abr Brown was an enemy with Spider-Man, not a classmate of Peter Parker. - Raff • Message Wall • Contributions 21:50, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
