Symposium on Alien Contagion
Due to the increasing number of Inhumans undergoing Terrigenesis during the Inhuman Outbreak, a Symposium on Alien Contagion was held and the Taiwanese authorities agreed to host the international conference.
Several representatives from various countries traveled to Taipei for the Symposium: Glenn Talbot for the United States of America, Ellen King for Australia, Anton Petrov for Russia, Nathi Zuma for South Africa and Haruto Yakimura for Japan. They were welcomed by the Taiwanese representative Xiao Chen. Phil Coulson also joined the conference under the alias of Sean Lundwall.
During the talks, Petrov suggested the creation of a Russian Inhuman Sanctuary, a proposition which got the support of HYDRA leaderGideon Malick, who joined the conference and had Coulson arrested thanks to General Talbot, who Malick blackmailed. Coulson and Talbot were both imprisoned and on the verge of being executed, but they were rescued by Carl Creel.
In parallel, a S.H.I.E.L.D. team comprised of Melinda May, Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter also journeyed to Taipei to find which representative had connections with Malick. Although they did not find any significant element in this regard, their intervention and their victory over the HYDRA operatives allowed George Talbot, the General's son, to be released.[1]
