In 1982, Sylvie Laufeydottir entered in this reality via a Timedoor, landing in a field in Broxton, Oklahoma. Upon looking around, Laufeydottir spotted a McDonald's and walked towards it. Heading inside, Laufeydottir walked to the counter and asked the man behind the counter, Jack, how to order food. Jack responded by asking Laufeydottir what she wanted and Laufeydottir by telling Jack that she wanted something that was already dead and didn't have a face. Jack then gave Laufeydottir a few food recommendations as she looked out at all of the happy people in the McDonald's before she told Jack that she wanted to try everything.[2]

Laufeydottir soon became employed at the McDonald's, eventually saving enough money to a Ford truck. In search of Laufeydottir, Hunter X-05 arrived in this universe in the hopes of capturing her. Once X-05 saw that Laufeydottir had successfully made a life for herself; however, he decided to leave her alone and start his own life on the Sacred Timeline.[3]

"It's the future, it's going to happen."
"Is it? Really? Because that sounds a lot like the future's already been written. And we both know that it hasn't. Not anymore. I made sure of that."

In search of Sylvie Laufeydottir, Loki, Mobius M. Mobius, and Brad Wolfe came to this universe. Hoping to speak to Laufeydottir, Loki headed inside the McDonald's where she worked with his compatriots following him inside shortly thereafter. Loki spotted Laufeydottir working the counter and nervously approached her. Meanwhile Brad Wolfe tried to convince Mobius M. Mobius to head back to the Time Variance Authority Office but Mobius refused to leave until he had some apple pie. At the counter, Loki asked Laufeydottir if they could talk and she told Loki that her break was in 5 minutes.

On Laufeydottir's break, her and Loki spoke outside of the McDonald's. Loki asked her why he saw her when he Time Slipped into the future, but Laufeydottir didn't have any answers for Loki and didn't want to help him find them in order to not disturb her new found happy life in this universe. Meanwhile inside of the McDonald's, Mobius M. Mobius and Brad Wolfe enjoyed a meal and conversed with each other. Growing suspicious of Wolfe, Mobius took him outside where Laufeydottir used her Magic to read his mind, revealing that Dox's Loyalists planned to attack the branching timelines.

Wolfe was pushed through a Timedoor back into the Time Variance Authority Office before Loki, Mobius, and Laufeydottir through another Timedoor to stop Dox's attack. Once they'd stop Dox's attack, Laufeydottir returned to this universe.[3] Laufeydottir briefly left this universe yet again to pursue Victor Timely before the destruction of the Temporal Loom caused her to return to this universe.[4][5]

"Everything's falling apart. The branches are dying."
Sylvie Laufeydottir to Loki[src]

One night after work, Sylvie Laufeydottir was preparing to head home when a Time Slipping Loki approached her. Speaking with Laufeydottir, Loki was surprised to learn that she still recognized him as the previous Variants of his friends that he had encountered didn't. Upon seeing Loki briefly time slip again, Laufeydottir took him to a nearby bar to get a drink.

At the bar, Loki attempted to convince Laufeydottir to travel to a different universe with him so that he could her and his other friends Temporal Aura to travel back in time prior to the Temporal Loom's destruction, but Laufeydottir refused. She then pressed Loki on why he wanted to save the loom and he finally admitted that he wanted his friends back. Now distraught, Loki questioned Laufeydottir where he belonged without his friends and she simply told him that they were all writing their own stories now. Laufeydottir then left Loki at the bar before Loki left this universe via a Timedoor.

Sylvie Listens to Record

Laufeydottir headed off to Rooster Records where she greeted the store's attendant, Lyle, before she began thumbing through the store's inventory. After further conversing with Laufeydottir, Lyle learned that she had a bit of a rough day so he handed her a record that he said could make her day better or a whole lot worse. Using the store's record player, Laufeydottir put on some headphones and allowed herself to become engrossed in the music.

Meanwhile, this universe began to dissolve as Lyle watched on in horror, running to save Laufeydottir before he also dissolved. The universe continued to spaghettify around Laufeydottir until there was nothing left. This prompted her to open up a Timedoor and enter it to find Loki.[6]
