The Sy'gyl Research Base was a bunker used by the Nova Corps in the Nar'dath mountain range on the planet Sy'gyl.

In their attempts to develop a weapon to use in their war against the Kree, the Nova Corps established a base on the planet Sy'gyl where Peer Kaal could work. She developed the Axiom Cannon and worked on it in the base, although she planned to use it as a place to meet a member of the Kree Empire to give them the weapon's plans, hoping that both sides having access to the weapon would lead to peace. Vers was sent to infiltrate the base and began searching each room for Kaal, finding it empty. Vers eventually found Kaal, who explained that the weapon she designed was terrible and her plan to give the plans to both sides. She gave Vers a data capsule with the plans for the weapon, when a Xandarian soldier appeared and stabbed Vers in the leg before attempting to kill Kaal. Vers fought the soldier until the bunker was hit by a Stealth Bomb and destroyed.[1]
