In the wake of the unusual criminal activity in New York City, Strieber was put in charge of the special task force operation to investigate the case. Following the New York City Earthquake, New York City Police Department received information about the multiple C-4 explosives found by Jessica Jones in John Raymond's apartment. A group of the police officers led by Strieber, as well as the FBI and Homeland Security headed to the location to investigate and question Jones.
Strieber discusses the case with Misty Knight
After Misty Knight arrived at the place, Striber informed her that the room was paid for in cash and they could not find any records. He also told Knight that the FBI and Homeland Security are taking on investigate the case, while the NYPD was given a task to keep it away from the press. Knight asked if they found a body at the place and Strieber showed her the explosives, admitting that her suspicions regarding an unknown criminal group in the city turned to be true. Strieber then informed Knight that they received a call from Jones and let Knight speak with her to find any information, before returning to the investigation.[1]

When Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Matt Murdock were brought in and found with a dead body, Strieber angrily told them to tell the truth or else he will put them in jail. When Cage told him about the Hand and how they took Danny Rand, Strieber went on a rant about vigilantes and how they aren't above the law. Murdock spoke up saying that super powered individuals still have equal rights. Later, he talked to Misty Knight saying that if this case is solved, she will be noticed, but she will also be noticed if the case fails. Suddenly, an alarm went off and he realized that Jones, Cage and Murdock escaped. He angrily told Knight to find them and to also rethink how much she trusts them.[2]
Destruction of Midland Circle[]
Strieber heard that the Defenders went to Midland Circle so he arrived at the scene. Misty Knight informed him that the C-4 was taken from evidence. They realized the Defenders were going to blow up the building. Knight told him she was staying to get bomb squad; Strieber told her that is okay if she still had her job by then. Soon, the Defenders ran out just before Midland collapsed. Strieber watched the event unfold.[3]
Incident in the Clinton Church[]

Following an attack on Clinton Church, Strieber and his men arrived to find the FBI already there. The FBi briefed him on who the suspect is: Daredevil, and that he was in the church.[4]
