The Strategic Scientific Reserve, abbreviated as the SSR, was an intelligence gathering agency.
History[]
The 1940s[]
The Strategic Scientific Reserve was the premier intelligence organization for the Allied Powers during World War II. They captured Werner Reinhardt and the rest of Hydra after the war.[1] After the war, the SSR continued to operate with Daniel Sousa and Roger Dooley being stationed in New York City with Dooley having his own reserve bar at The Krazy Kanoe. Sousa later went to Los Angeles where he took down Isodyne Energy, Hugh Jones, and the Council of Nine. Later, the SSR was rebranded as the new organization, S.H.I.E.L.D., with its leaders, Peggy Carter and Howard Stark at the helm.[2][3] During this time, Enoch left an 0-8-4 with an SSR agent to hang onto until later.[4]
