Unfrozen in the modern times, Steve Rogers became a politician and ran for President of the United States of America, winning the election. He gave a swearing speech in front of the White House, which was shown at Times Square, New York City, at the same time Watcher and Ultron fought across different realities.[1]

- In the comics, Captain America was offered to become President of the United States of America but he declined the offer as he felt that doing so would take him away from his heroic duties.
- On Earth-81426, Steve Rogers ran for President of the United States of America alongside Andrew Jackson Hawk.
- On Earth-2149, the alternate universe inhabited by zombies, Colonel America once served as President of the United States of America, but did not serve a full term.

- What If...? writers A.C. Bradley and Matthew Chauncey originally considered to write a political episode featuring Steve Rogers as President and inspired by Aaron Sorkin's The West Wing. However, Bradley and Chauncey dropped the idea early on for being a "super-talky" episode without a lot of action.[2]
