"121st Street, headed north on Broadway!" - ―Thaddeus Ross and Sterling[src]
Sterling was a Strategic Operations Command Center officer who led a defense against Abomination in Harlem.
Biography[]
Sterling and a soldier codenamed Delta 4 were patrolling Harlem alleys when they heard the sound of roaring from Abomination. Delta 4 radioed this to Thaddeus Ross, mistakenly claiming that Hulk was on the streets. After finding out that Bruce Banner was with Ross, Sterling watched as Delta 4 shot at Abomination before telling the soldiers and the New York City Police Department to fall back.
Sterling then got into a Humvee with Delta 4 and two NYPD officers as they continuously tracked Abomination, with Sterling informing Ross of their current position. As Sterling lifted his gun to attempt to shoot at Abomination, Delta 4 remarked that it was not going to do anything. Delta 4 then went to the back and grabbed a box, revealing a Stark Industries Rocket Launcher. They took it and shot it at Abomination, although they soon watched as the rocket was caught by Abomination before the monster ran towards them, took a taxi, and threw it at the group, killing them.[6]
