- "Are you sure this thing works?"
"It's been tested more than you, pal." - ―Steve Rogers and Howard Stark[src]
The Stark Transponder[1] was a transponder manufactured by Stark Industries.
History[]
Used by Steve Rogers[]
Steve Rogers shows Peggy Carter the transponder
- "You're late."
"Sorry, couldn't call my ride." - ―Peggy Carter and Steve Rogers[src]
Just before Steve Rogers began his Liberation of Allied Prisoners of War, Peggy Carter gave him a Stark Transponder so that he could alert her and Howard Stark to his location once Rogers successfully freed the prisoners. Unfortunately, Rogers' transponder was destroyed during the liberation, forcing him and the newly freed soldiers to walk to the nearest United States Army encampment. Upon their arrival at the camp, Carter reminded Rogers that he was late, to which Rogers responded by apologizing in a sly tone while holding up the broken transponder.[2]
Capabilities[]
- "This is your transponder. Activate it when you're ready and the signal will lead us straight to you."
- ―Peggy Carter to Steve Rogers[src]
Once activated, the Stark Transponder sends out a homing signal which, when picked up, can lead others straight to the user's location.
