"They want a war, so that's what we'll give 'em. Put the Liberator drones into production."
"Okay, hold on. That'll require a multi-billion dollar allocation. The board will need to be consulted."
"The Patriot Act should cover the red tape. The U.S. military is hereby seizing control of all Stark Industries assets."

Stark Industries is a weapons manufacturing company, founded by Howard Stark. Following the death of Tony Stark, the US military seized control of Stark Industries assets for the upcoming war with Wakanda.

History[]

Following the Jericho presentation in Afghanistan, Tony Stark was attacked by the Ten Rings but rescued by Erik Stevens who was later appointed as the Chief of Security of Stark Industries. During the press conference, Stevens revealed that Obadiah Stane was working with the Ten Rings and ordered an attack on Stark, which resulted in his arrest. Following Stane's arrest, Stark appointed Stevens as the new COO of Stark Industries.

Working with Stevens, Stark decided to launch the Project Liberator, developing the automated combat drones to replace the human troops, basing on the designs created by Stevens. In order to find a power source for the drones, Stark Industries sent James Rhodes as their military liaison to purchase vibranium from Ulysses Klaue. However, Rhodes was killed there, as well as Wakandan prince T'Challa, which resulted in Wakandans blaming both Stark Industries and the US military for the death of their prince

Soon after, Stark was assassinated, seemingly by Wakandans as an act of revenge, which was considered a declaration of war. While Pepper Potts was appointed as the company's acting CEO, Thaddeus Ross and the US military seized control of Stark Industries assets as a part of the Patriot Act. Using the vibranium purchased from Klaue, Stark Industries produced a battalion of the Liberator Drones which were deployed to Wakanda, however, all Drones were destroyed by the Wakandan army during the invasion.[1]
