Tony Stark became the CEO of Stark Industries, but was kidnapped by the Ten Rings, who were using Stark Industries weapons. Stark managed to escape using a suit of armor, surprising everyone at home, including Stark Industries COO Obadiah Stane. Stark announced that he would be shutting down weapons production at Stark Industries and became determined to figure out who had sold Stark Industries weapons to the Ten Rings. Meanwhile, Stane tasked the Ten Rings with bringing him the armor Stark used to escape.[1]

Tony Stark discovered that the Ten Rings were sold to by someone inside Stark Industries, so he called his assistant, Pepper Potts and asked her to hack into the company to determine who it was. Potts obliged and discovered that Obadiah Stane was the one responsible, just as Stane appeared in Stark Industries Headquarters with her. Stane complained about the change in direction away from weaposn sales losing them many and kidnapped Potts. Stane set up weapons to fight Stark around Stark Industries Headquarters, which Stark destroyed. Stark killed Stane and continued to operate Stark Industries.[1]
