"I don't think we'll get away after all. Small towns, you know. So hard to... escape."
―Stan Nielson to Vision[src]

Doctor "Stan Nielson" is an obstetrician in Westview.

Biography[]

Brainwashed[]

In 2023, "Stan Nielson" lived in Westview. He was in the town when Wanda Maximoff cast a spell on the town in a burst of emotion, imprisoning him and forcing him to act as though he were in a sitcom.[2]

Doctor[]

"Thank you for your assistance, young lady. I think you might have what it takes to be a nurse."
―Stan Nielson to Geraldine[src]

"Nielson" was made to act like a doctor, and he arrived at the Vision Residence to determine whether Wanda Maximoff was pregnant or not. He affirmed their suspicions and came to the conclusion that Maximoff was at least four months along. In addition, he offered advice to Maximoff and Vision, saying to compare the baby's size to fruit.

Vision asked what fruit the baby would be if it was only twelve hours old, hypothetically, which "Nielson" brushed off. Assuming Vision was just nervous, he told him that everything would be okay. He then said goodbye to him and explained that he was off to Bermuda for vacation.

However, Maximoff went into labor several hours later, so Vision went to "Nielson's" house while he was trying to fix his car, and took him from the vacation in order to deliver the baby. They arrive too late, as a baby had already been born. However, Maximoff went into a second labor, and "Nielson" delivered it. "Nielson" declared that the babies were healthy, and told "Geraldine" that she had what it took to be a nurse. Vision offered to walk "Nielson" home and expressed hope that they could still go on vacation. "Nielson" said that it was unlikely since small towns were hard to escape.[1]

Freed[]

"Nielson" was freed from Wanda Maximoff's brainwashing when Maximoff lowered the spell during a battle against Agatha Harkness.[3]

Personality[]

"We let the little ladies keep tabs on their growing babies with fruit. Makes it simple for them."
―Stan Nielson to Vision[src]

Whilst under Maximoff's influence, Nielson acted like a character from a television sitcom taking place in the 1970s. Appropriate to the time period, Nielson had sexist views whilst he was in character, yet still kept a relatively friendly demeanor to those around him.

Abilities[]

  • Expert Physician: Nielson was the doctor of the town and helped Wanda Maximoff with her pregnancy, being very worrying of her abnormal fetus growth.
