The subject of this article is part of an MCU franchise story that has been officially deemed to be non-canonical to the primary continuity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Its events instead occur in another reality within the Multiverse.

Spider-Man: Homecoming: School of Shock is a comic set before the film Spider-Man: Homecoming. It is inspired by the events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

  • The cover of this issue is a homage to the cover of Amazing Spider-Man #46, the first appearance of the Shocker.

Behind the Scenes[]

Continuity[]

This comic was released as promotion for Spider-Man: Homecoming, yet it contradicts the movie in two significant areas. First, Monica Warren in the comic teaches chemistry and is white, whereas in the film she is a black physics teacher. Furthermore, Herman Schultz appears in the comic as a criminal acting as Shocker on his own. In the film, Schultz is the second Shocker after Jackson Brice and went to prison while still a part of Adrian Toomes' Crew. Because of these significant differences, this comic is considered non-canon.
