Trivia[]

  • In the comics, James Sanders was a chemist who was hired as a member of the Squadron Sinister by Grandmaster, who gave him a formula that granted him super speed. Sanders then took on the name Whizzer, but when he failed to defeat the Avengers, he was returned to Earth, although he was allowed to keep his powers. Upon experimenting with the formula and further increasing his speed, Sanders took on the identity of Speed Demon and became a thief, frequently entering into conflict with Spider-Man.
