Shaman[]
Trained by Zuri[]
Sope was a shaman trained by Zuri. When Erik Killmonger became King of Wakanda and killed Zuri, Sope took over. She gave Killmonger the Heart-Shaped Herb. When he awoke from the Ancestral Plane, Sope helped him relax. Killmonger then ordered her to burn the herbs. Sope refused, saying that maintaining the herbs was their tradition. However, Killmonger lifted her by the throat, threatening her by saying that he was her king now and that she had to what he ordered. Sope was forced to comply, igniting the herb crop as Killmonger watched.[1]
T'Challa's Death[]
In 2024, King T'Challa grew sick with an illness and died shortly afterwards. During the funeral, Sope gave a speech as she watered the ground. Everyone cried around her as she talked about T'Challa before sending him off to the Ancestral Plane.[2]
Black Panther's Return[]
A year later, Wakanda was attacked by the Talokanil. Sope and the rest of the Wakandans relocated to Gorilla City. As they tried to talk with M'Baku, a Royal Talon Fighter appeared overhead. Suddenly, a Black Panther dropped down. The Panther unveiled their mask, showing it was Princess Shuri, who had recreated the Heart-Shaped Herb.[2]
New King[]
Due to Ramonda's death, Wakanda turned to the new Queen, Shuri. Sope and Zawavari set up an incoronation for Shuri. However, when Zawavari announced for Shuri to come down, M'Baku appeared instead and took the throne while Shuri left Wakanda.[2]
