Sonia is the mother of Vido Arocho and the ex-wife of Oscar Arocho.

Having a Child[]
Sonia grew up with a friend named Oscar Arocho. They eventually had a kid together named Vido. However, Oscar got caught for forging a green card, seperating himself and Sonia. The two often fought over custody of Vido when Oscar got out of jail.[2]

Sonia angrily marched up to Oscar Arocho's apartment to grab Vido. The two engaged in an argument before finding out that Vido was gone. They found him hanging out the window of Jessica Jones' apartment with Jones holding him. Sonia quickly grabbed Vido and told them both off before leaving with her son.[2]
Kidnapping of Vido Arocho[]

"What?"
"She didn't pick up her phone, so I came by her place. Her neighbor said she left with Vido, carrying suitcases." - ―Oscar Arocho and Jessica Jones[src]
Sonia once again found Oscar Arocho talking to Jessica Jones. Worried about Jones' nature, Sonia claimed she was leaving with Vido. Oscar called her bluff. Having enough, Sonia took Vido and brought him to the bus station; buying a ticket using a shared credit card. She brought him onto a bus to Montréal. They were about to leave when the bus stopped suddenly. Sonia got off to see Oscar, Jones, and her mother. Jones' mother told her she could not see Vido if she was in prison. She then decided to stop.[3]

The kidnapping did not stop Sonia from being apart of Vido Arocho's life. However, her and Oscar Arocho often fought, leading to Vido always going upstairs to talk to Jessica Jones.[4]
