The Smoky Mountain National Forest, officially the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a national park situated in the United States that straddles the ridge-line of the Great Smoky Mountains and part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The centerline of the park serves as the border between Tennessee and North Carolina.
History[]
Hulk fled to the Smoky Mountain National Forest to escape the ferocious battle against General Thaddeus Ross and the Strategic Operations Command Center. He also carried Betty Ross with him in an attempt to protect her, as she was rendered unconscious from an exploding missile.
Hulk arrived at the forest, and sought refuge in a cave. Betty startled Hulk with a yell when she regained consciousness, followed by Hulk demonstrating his intent to protect her even from the thunder and lightning of a nearby storm, attempting to attack the sky by hurling a boulder high into the air.
Betty managed to connect with Hulk as no one had ever before, calming him, sitting beside him and holding his hand. As this new calm state washed over him, Hulk changed back to Banner through the night, and they left the National Park to a nearby motel the next morning.[1]
