The Shishi, or Shíshī (石狮), also known as Guardian Lions,[1] are mystical creatures from the realm of Ta Lo.

Guardians of Ta Lo[]
The Shishi are the guardians of Ta Lo and the protectors of the village. They fought with the residents of Ta Lo and Shang-Chi against the Ten Rings and later joined forces with them against the Soul Eaters to defeat the Dweller-in-Darkness.[2]
Characteristic Traits[]
The Shishi resemble lions that are the approximate size of small elephants. They have two sharp tusks on their upper jaws. They can run at high speeds and jump far distances. They possess immense strength and durability, and are also capable of harming and killing Soul Eaters with their teeth and claws.[2] Despite their appearance, Shishi are playful, loyal, and protect each other and their loved ones.[1]
