Shantel is a grifter and a former member of Fiona's Crew. She was approached by Amy Bendix who asked for help to leave New York City, however, Shantel betrayed her and informed Martin about her whereabouts.

Shantel was a grifter in a group run by Fiona. Among the group was a woman named Amy Bendix who she grew close with. At one point, Fiona had them sleeping above an Indian restaurant. Soon, Shantel gained enough knowledge to move away from the group and make it big in New York City.[1]
Betraying Amy Bendix[]
One day, Shantel was visited by Amy Bendix, who had to get out of the city. Shantel was living at her friend's apartment as her's was being renovated. Bendix asked for Shantel's help, so Shantel said she knew a guy, but required money. Bendix gave her the cash, but Shantel asked for more, then apologized as it was a habit. Shantel asked how Fiona was, but Bendic revealed that she was dead along with everyone else. Shantel admitted that was a heavy reveal.
As Bendix walked away to eat some pizza, Shantel called some bounty hunters as she knew there was a five million dollar bounty on Bendix's friend. When the hunters arrived, Shantel talked with Martin about the money as she was betraying her friend. However, Martin tied Shantel up to pursue Bendix. Shantel heard gun fighting and broke loose with a knife. Bendix and the Punisher soon returned, having defeated the mercenaries. Shantel tried to talk to Bendix, but she simply grabbed her bag and kicked Shantel in the crotch as she left. Shantel was left rithing in pain.[1]
