  • In the comics, Shang-Chi is the son of Fu Manchu, and his name meant "the rising and advancing of the spirit." Shang-Chi became known for being the master of kung fu and a member of the Avengers.
  • While Shang-Chi's name is pronounced as it is spelled, the correct pronunciation, in its cultural origin, would be "shung-shur" or "shung-tsee".
