In attempt to get back at Wade Wilson, Sergei Valishnikov stormed his apartment and shot his fiancée Vanessa Carlysle. Using Cable's Time-Travel Device, Wilson threw a knife into Valishnikov, killing him before he could take the fatal shot on Carlysle.

• In 20th Century Fox's X-Men film series, Sergei Valishnikov is a criminal who was pursued by Deadpool. He eventually tracked down Deadpool and killed his fiancée, Vanessa Carlysle. This caused Wilson to kill Valishnikov in a murder-suicide attempt. However, Wilson soon used Cable's Time-Travel Device to travel back in time and kill Valishnikov before the latter could kill Carlysle.
