Scott Campbell is a United States Air Force pilot commandeering an F-22 Raptor. He, along with another pilot, was tasked with inspecting Iron Man in Afghanistan's airspace.

The Air Force detected an unknown presence that was part of the Battle of Gulmira and who also blew up a nearby weapons depot. In response, the Air Force sent Campbell and his partner to identify the object. Since the suspected UAV did not surrender or respond to radio contact, command center gave the go-ahead to engage the target. Campbell tried to shoot it down with missiles and bullets, but with little success as the target deployed flares and evaded them, eventually dropping off of the radar.[1]
