Sarah Rogers was the mother of Steve Rogers.
Biography[]

Sarah married Joseph Rogers, and had a son named Steve in 1918. A few months before Steve was born, Joseph died during World War I as consequence of a mustard gas attack, forcing Sarah to raise Steve by herself.
Sarah worked at a tuberculosis ward as a nurse. She soon caught the disease, which she died of in 1936. Sarah was buried next to her husband.[2]

- In Captain America: First Vengeance, Sarah Rogers died in 1924, but since it is said she apparently died while Steve was an adult in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which would make that date inaccurate. According to the promotional S.H.I.E.L.D. file for The Avengers, Sarah died on October 15, 1936.
