Biography[]
Interviewing Captain America[]
One night in 2024, Haines was tasked by Good Morning America to interview John Walker, as he had been appointed to be the new Captain America. She went to Custer's Grove High School, Walker's home high school, and greeted Walker as he entered. Haines told Walker that she thought him returning to his old high school was strange for him after so much had changed. Haines asked what it was like being Captain America, and they joked about eagles flying overhead and flags waving majestically in the wind. Haines talked about his two-week rollout tour, which Walker said was an honor. Walker began talking about how surprised he was to have received the position, but Haines cut him off and listed his merits. Walker went on to say that he was not Tony Stark or Bruce Banner, he had the bravery that he needed to be Captain America. Haines asked Walker if he had personally known Steve Rogers, and Walker replied that while he did not know Rogers personally, he viewed Rogers as a brother and a role model.[2]
