- "I need the cure!"
- ―Spider-Man[src]
Sandman's Cure is a device designed by Spider-Man to remove Flint Marko's powers of sand manipulation.
History[]
Curing Flint Marko[]
- "I think that I can repair the devices for Dillon and Marko, but the others..."
- ―Peter Parker[src]
As Peter Parker was working on Sandman's cure in Happy Hogan's Condominium, Green Goblin convinced the villains to betray Parker and escape. Prior to her death, May Parker put all of the cures into a bag, including Marko's, that Spider-Man took with him after leaving the premises. After being consoled by two alternate universe versions of him, Parker started repairing the cure in the chemistry classroom at Midtown School of Science and Technology.
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man webbed the finished cure around the scaffolding of the Statue of Liberty in preparation for the upcoming conflict. When the Battle at Liberty Island broke out, Amazing Spider-Man grabbed the cure but was pinned down by Lizard. Amazing Spider-Man then threw the cure to the young Spider-Man, but he was zapped by Electro, sending the cure onto the scaffolding.
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man lured Sandman inside the statue while Amazing Spider-Man broke free from Lizard's clutches and grabbed the cure. He threw it to the youngest Spider-Man, who tossed it to the eldest Spider-Man. Spider-Man then activated the device as it immeditately restored Marko to his normal form and cured his powers.[1]
