Doctor Samuel Sterns is a scientist who was sought out by Bruce Banner, who has radiation poisoning. Very intrigued, Sterns agreed to help, adopting the alias of Mr. Blue. When Banner met with him, Sterns realized the threat that the poisoning holds. When Banner turned into Hulk and ran off, Sterns was threatened by Emil Blonsky to turn him as powerful as Hulk. Sterns complied, creating an abomination.

Helping Mr. Green[]
Creating a Cure[]
Sterns worked at Empire State University where he kept contact with a man with gamma radiation known as Mr. Green. Intrigued by this poisoning, Sterns asked for samples to help with a cure. The two agreed to meet in his office and Sterns was happy to meet with Mr. Green, known as Dr. Bruce Banner and Dr. Betty Ross. They set up the experiment and Sterns was forced to tinker with it halfway through. However, the cure seemed to work before Banner was taken out and arrested by the United States Army.[1]
Threatened[]
When everyone left, Sterns got up only to find Captain Emil Blonsky enter through the window with a gun pointed. Sterns put his hands up, asking what he could have possibly done to earn the agression. Blonsky then forced Sterns to inject him with a serum. Sterns did so, turning Blonsky into an Abomination.[1]
