―Sam Wilson to Steve Rogers[src]

Samuel Thomas "Sam" Wilson is an Avenger and friend of Steve Rogers known as Falcon.

Biography[]

Meeting Captain America[]

Morning Exercise[]

During a morning jog in Washington, D.C., Sam Wilson met and befriended Steve Rogers, as the two jogged together. They were interrupted by Natasha Romanoff, who arrived to pick Rogers up for a S.H.I.E.L.D. mission.[2]

Rise of HYDRA[]

"After many grueling battles, Cap and the Falcon approached the final Helicarrier console, but found the Winter Soldier standing in their way..."
Agent 13[src]

When it was revealed that Hydra did not go down in World War II and was hiding inside S.H.I.E.L.D. all along, Wilson was approached by Captain America and Black Widow for help, to which Wilson agreed. They ended up being ambushed by Winter Soldier and captured by Brock Rumlow, but managed to slip away. Upon regrouping with Nick Fury and Maria Hill, the group decided to bring down Project Insight and stop HYDRA.

Armed with EXO-7 Falcon and twin guns, Falcon joined Captain America and the rest of the team in the assault on Triskelion. Fighting through HYDRA operatives within S.H.I.E.L.D. ranks, Falcon and Captain America worked on reprogramming the Helicarriers aiming systems to make them destroy each other. However, upon reaching the final Helicarrier, they were confronted by Winter Soldier, who refused to acknowledge Captain America trying to reach out to him. As Falcon helped Captain America fighting Winter Soldier and other HYDRA operatives, the Helicarriers were successfully destroyed and both plummeted into the river below. Falcon and Captain America were saved by Winter Soldier, who managed to regain his memories and jumped into the river to get them out.[2]

Avengers Tower Party[]

When the Avengers successfully took down Hydra and recovered the Scepter, Wilson attended their celebration party at Avengers Tower. As Tony Stark and Maria Hill provided them with a pool table, Wilson joined Steve Rogers for a game.[2]

Joining the Avengers[]

Falcon was approached by Captain America and Black Widow to join the new iteration of the Avengers after the Battle of Sokovia and Ultron's downfall. As the new Avengers Compound was established, Falcon joined War Machine, Wanda Maximoff and Vision after Captain America assembled the team.[2]
