"I won't sleep until you're standing here."
"I am confident we will make a perfect pair."
―Russell Feldman and Sibyl[src]

Russell Feldman was a computer repairman who was used by Sibyl to build a robot body for her.

Biography

Early Life

"We went to River's End High together. Class of 68."
―Russell Feldman to Chip Womack[src]

Feldman lived in the city of River's End. He graduated from River's End High School in 1968, and grew to be the owner of an electronics store, Feldman Electronics. During his spare time, he attempted to design remote controlled robots which would serve domestic purposes, although he was not always successful in this endeavor.

Assisting Sibyl

Bringing Sibyl to Life

"I've been waiting my whole life for you. Was I not enough?"
"You have served a purpose."
"You can't leave me. Not after everything we shared!"
―Russell Feldman and Sibyl[src]

In 1982, Feldwan was asked by Chip Womack, a former classmate, to repair his computer after it had been damaged due to a power surge. When Feldman plugged it into his own systems to run some diagnosis, he was surprised when a sheet covered in unknown letters came out of his printer. As the computer then displayed a sentence asking for Feldman's help, he answered that he would and asked the computer who was speaking. A second sheet was then printed out, displaying the face of a woman, who introduced herself as Sibyl.

Over the following months, Feldman developed attraction towards Sibyl. He arranged for her to be able to speak through a sound system instead of writing her instructions on the computer, and provided her with various pieces of equipment so he would build her a body of her own. By the time 1982 ended, Feldman had been able to build a quite rudimentary robotic body for Sibyl, which enabled him to physically interact with her: as such, he offered her flowers when the transfer of Sibyl's data into the robot body was completed.

Feldman was later instructed by Sibyl to go to Big Ern's Ammo Emporium, a weapons store, to purchase weapons and ammunition. However, when he returned to his store, he realized tha Sibyl had been building other robotic bodies. Feldman grew upset, asking Sibyl whether he was not enough for her and stating that she could not leave him. In response, Sibyl had a robot armed with a long drill bit kill Feldman since he had served his purpose.[1]
