Peggy Carter's Infiltration[]
As Hugh Jones’ personal secretary left for lunch, she was passed by a disguised Peggy Carter. Carter entered the Jones’ office and started to search for the special key she and her allies needed to enter the Roxxon Warehouse to retrieve the atomic bombs sought after by Whitney Frost. After searching the secretary's desk, she started to go through the file cabinets only to be interrupted by Jones as he exited his office. Adapting an American accent, Carter introduced herself to Jones as Wanda to which Jones asked if they had met before since he had a feeling that they had. Carter acted flirtatiously with Jones assuring him that she would have remembered meeting him. After telling Jones that today was her first day and that accounting had sent her to retrieve a file, Jones made a pass at Carter covertly commenting on her physical attractiveness. Stating that he was heading to lunch Jones told her that he would call for her when got back so they could “crunch some number.” As soon as Jones left, Carter entered his private office and started to search for the key. Just as Jones got on the elevator he suddenly realized Wanda was actually the SSR agent he had met back in New York and hurried back to his office.
Jones burst into his office telling Carter that he remembered her and that he was going to call security as he stormed to his desk. As he picked up the phone, he commented that if the SSR wanted to search his office then they needed to get a warrant. As he started to dial, Carter came up behind him and shocked him with Memory Inhibitor causing him to drop the phone. With his memories of the last several minutes erased, Jones turned around and asked Carter who she was. Slipping back into her Wanda persona, Carter told Jones he was running late for his lunch. Before he left, Jones made another pass at Carter before he left for a second time allowing Carter to return her search. However Jones had no sooner started down the office hallway when he again realized Wanda's true identity.
Returning to his office, Hughes found it empty unaware that Agent Carter was hiding behind the door. Turning, Jones saw Carter emerge from her hiding spot but was unable to react as she quickly used the memory inhibitor on him again. Jones passed out in Carter's arms who then realized the key was on Jones’ person after seeing a Roxxon motivational poster on the office wall. Placing the unconscious Jones on the floor, Agent Carter started to search his clothes for the key. Jones came to, again asking Carter her name and receiving another jolt from the memory inhibitor and passing out. Carter continued her search only to have Jones wake up and having to knock him out. Noticing Jones’ monogram belt buckle, Carter started to undo the belt only to have Jones regain consciousness much to her frustration and subdued him again.
Mentally steadying herself, Agent Carter undid the belt and found the key hidden in the belt buckle. After retrieving the key, Carter got up to leave but stopped when she looked down at the unconsciousness Jones. Leaning back down she used the memory inhibitor on Jones one last time and for a slightly longer duration before she made her escape. Sometime later Hughes's secretary returned to the office from her lunch. A disheveled Jones emerged from his office and his secretary asked how his lunch had gone. Taking in his appearance Jones concluded that his lunch must have been good.[1]
