The Robbery of Sonny's Grocery was meant to be a thief's simple burgle of Sonny's Grocery's cash. Unfortunately for the robber, Jessica Jones happened to be at the store trying to find something to drink. Noticing the robber, Jones managed knock him unconscious, foiling his plan.

Background[]

Once Alisa Jones was shot in the head by Trish Walker, Jessica Jones angrily jumped out of the ferris wheel and confronted Walker. Jones almost killed Walker until she was talked out of it by Walker and was then commanded her to run away, and sobbed over her mother's corpse. Eddy Costa and the NYPD arrived at the scene, as Coasta saw what Jones did with the gun on her hand. Costa concluded that Jones had killed Alisa and that she did the only thing that she could to end Alisa's killing spree.

Jones' decided to go back to her job and investigating numerous cases in hidden site of the public.[3]

Robbery[]

"Bastard! You pig! You dog! I'm gonna kill you and then I'm gonna find your family and kill them too."

During the night, Jessica Jones walked inside Sonny's Grocery store and decides to look for any there. The store clerk was playing a mobile game on his phone, as Jones look over him as there was no business rising. Suddenly, a man rushed inside the grocery and pulled his gun and tell the clerk to give up the cash. The clerk was panicking as it was happening, making the robber becoming furious toward him. Jones decided to throw a liquor bottle at the robber's face which gave the opportunity of the clerk to steal his gun and threatening to kill him and his family. Jones angrily pulls the clerk away and told him to call the police. As the robber got up, Jones kicked him in the face, leaving him unconscious.[3]

Jessica Jones told the store clerk to dial the police and during the call, Jones decided to take a bottle of alcohol. The clerk then asked Jones if she is going to pay for the alcohol to which she gave the money to the cash register. Afterwards, Jones walked inside her apartment building where she founded Trish Walker waiting for her to talk to her about the incident with her mother. Jones rejected her apology and told her that she had no longer had any family.[3]
