Rintrah is a Master of the Mystic Arts and an apprentice at Kamar-Taj.
Biography[]
Master of the Mystic Arts[]
Siege of Kamar-Taj[]
Rintrah originated from an alternate dimension before he crossed over to the earthly plane. While there, he went to Kamar-Taj and was trained to become a Master of the Mystic Arts, eventually becoming the apprentice to the Sorcerer Supreme.[1] In 2024, Rintrah was present in Kamar-Taj when Doctor Strange and Wong brought America Chavez there. He listened as Wong explained the history behind Scarlet Witch and when Strange told them that she had taken a town hostage. He and the rest of the Masters then prepared for battle. When the London Master and Hong Kong Master arrived through portals, Rintrah announced their arrival.
Rintrah then witnessed when dark clouds appeared in the sky and floated above them, to unveil Scarlet Witch flying in the sky. He then watched when Strange went to speak with her. When Strange returned, Rintrah prepared to fight as Maximoff used her powers to break the mystical barriers. However, Rintrah, along with other sorcerers, were buried under rubble as the foundations of Kamar-Taj were destroyed.[2]
Attacked by Wanda Maximoff[]
Rintrah and several other sorcerers were lifted from the rubble by Wanda Maximoff and she threatened to kill them in order to convince Wong to help her. Once he told her that the Darkhold was a copy and that she could find the original text at Mount Wundagore, Maximoff released Rintrah and the other sorcerers.[2]
Rebuilding Kamar-Taj[]
Later, Rintrah trained alongside America Chavez and other sorcerers as they begin to rebuild Kamar-Taj.[2]
Powers[]
- Magic: As a Master of the Mystic Arts, Rintrah wielded magical abilities. He used these abilities in an attempt to stop Wanda Maximoff from entering Kamar-Taj.
- Eldritch Magic: Rintrah is able to shape and manipulate Eldritch Magic, forming tangible constructs of energy, such as weapons or shields, as well as cast spells by writing specific formations with the fiery energy.
