Renata being murdered by Alexander Pierce
As Renata was about to leave Alexander Pierce's house for the night, the Winter Soldier arrived to receive his new mission, coming from the destruction of Camp Lehigh. Renata briefly left, but she returned for her forgotten cell phone and witnessed Pierce talking to the Winter Soldier. To not risk keeping her alive as a witness to the meet, Pierce killed Renata by shooting her in the chest with his pistol, while remarking he wished she had knocked the door to spare her.[1]
