The Recorders were the science division of OrgoCorp.

Assisting the High Evolutionary with his experiments, the Recorders collected the scientific data relating to all of the animals, including Batch 89. All of the information was stored inside of the Recorders heads. One recorder, Theel, stored the information for Subject 89P13, making him a target for the Guardians of the Galaxy.[1]
