When Carla Russo abandoned her only son, Billy Russo, he was sent to Ray of Hope group home to be brought up. While there, Russo enjoyed playing stickball and hoops with the other children. When one of the employees, Arthur Walsh, took a liking to Russo, he called him pretty and attempting to sexually assault him. When Russo defended himself, Walsh broke his arm and his rotator cuff.[1]
