Raum was a demon who assisted Kthara in reuniting her family and returning to power.

Possessing Joshua Crow[]
Attacking Gabriella Rosetti[]

A Keeper Talisman is placed on Raum
Raum possessed Father Joshua Crow and worked confessionals when Gabriella Rosetti attended. Rosetti talked about how she was sent by the Vatican to report on the supernatural behavior of Daimon Helstrom and his family, but that she was having doubts about it. Raum asked where the sin was, and asked Rosetti whether she had had lustful thoughts, taunting her. Rosetti realized that Raum was a demon and tried to escape the confessional booth, but found that it was locked, and Raum attacked her. She tried praying to stop him, when Caretaker grabbed him and pushed him to the ground, placing a Keeper Talisman on his head to contain him.

Raum is choked by Ana Helstrom
The Talisman eventually dissolved, when Raum opened his eyes and attacked a nurse. He saw Rosetti and feigned begging for help, as she was taken out of the room by Caretaker.[1] He was sedated again and kept in the hospital until Basar freed him. Raum drove Basar to the Spivey Residence and then to Saint Teresa Center for Mental Health, where he was present when Basar marked Dr. Edgar Lawrence for possession and Magoth possessed him. Raum attacked Ana Helstrom along with another demon, although Helstrom managed to gain the upper hand quickly and choked the two demons, rendering them both unconscious and throwing their bodies to the ground. He recovered and drove Kthara and Basar away from the food truck.[3]
Caring for Kthara[]

Raum delivers medicine
Kthara, Basar, and Raum went to the Garibaldi II, when Kthara's host body began failing. Raum went out and obtained drugs from a street seller, who was uncooperative, so Raum beat him. He brought them back to the ship, which was docked at Portland Harbor, and told Kthara about what happened. She told Raum that he should have brought the seller to the so that he could potentially help Basar, but Raum said that Basar was beyond help and that they should move on and find reinforcements.

Raum sees Basar's message
Kthara threw him across the ship and told him that she would not sacrifice her eldest son, who still served a purpose. Raum told her that he would not be able to mark anybody, and Kthara asked why he would need to. Raum gave Kthara the drugs, and she eventually gained enough strength to sit herself upright and comfort Basar. Basar drew a symbol on the wall, and Raum asked what it meant, communicating that Basar had marked someone else, confusing Raum.[4]

Raum is sent out
Kthara sent Raum to find the marked people, but returned empty handed, upsetting her. Raum spoke disrespectfully of Basar, and Kthara scolded him, telling him to respect the suffering of others, including her son. Kthara turned Basar on his side and ripped him out, telling him to find the marked people and take care of Basar. Raum stood guard while Magoth arrived, having possessed Finn Miller, and Kthara thanked him for distracting Daimon and Ana Helstrom. She told Raum to deliver a message and set a trap while Magoth went to their new host's house, and the two left to do their jobs. He called Saint Teresa Center for Mental Health and requested their exorcist, Daimon Helstrom, as there had been a disturbance at Portland Harbor. However, Ana Helstrom and Louise Hastings arrived instead, surprising Raum.[5]
Kidnapping of Gabriella Rosetti[]

Raum and Magoth hold down Gabriella Rosetti
Raum watched over Gabriella Rosetti as she was brought to an abandoned carnival and woke up after Kthara possessed her child. After they were given food, Raum spoke to Rosetti over the speaker and assured her that she would soon understand her circumstances. He revealed to her that she was pregnant, assuring her that the morning sickness would soon pass. Raum eventually figured out that the illusion of Daimon Helstrom that Kthara had cast was an illusion, so Raum and Magoth entered the room and tied Rosetti to the bed. As time passed, Raum and Magoth consistently replaced the dying flowers in her room and fed her sedatives and other pills.

Raum is attacked by Gabriella Rosetti
While preparing the next set of sedatives for Rosetti, she began talking to Kthara, asking her to appreciate the demons efforts and help him get his own body. However, he noticed that Rosetti had been struggling against her restraints causing blood to be on the sheets, so he started to rush to get help. Rosetti asked Joshua Crow to make a confession, but they slipped out of her bonds and sedated Raum, escaping.

Raum with a knife
Raum and Magoth went to Rosetti's house to recover her and found her in the basement, about to stab herself and kill the child. However, he pulled the knife out of her hand.[6] As he approached Rosetti, he was attacked by Louise Hastings and Victoria Helstrom, who managed to knock him out. They planned to tie Raum up, when Magoth arrived and demanded to know where Rosetti was. Raum recovered while Caretaker arrived and stabbed Magoth with a dagger capable of killing demons, and Magoth stabbed Hastings with a fire poker while aiming for Caretaker. Looking for Rosetti, Raum and Magoth fled while Helstrom and Caretaker rushed to help Hastings.

Raum is choked by Basar
They reunited with Basar, who was angry with them for losing Rosetti and Kthara, so he began choking Raum. Magoth explained that they could use his host's contacts in the Blood to find her, so Basar put Raum down. They tracked Rosetti to a church and prepared for a battle with the Blood, but Rosetti agreed to go with them to prevent any deaths, so they left together. They returned to the carnival and Raum pushed Rosetti's wheelchair into the same room as previously while Rosetti and Magoth discussed the war between demons and humans. She arrived at the room, and Raum welcomed her back sarcastically. They placed her in the tub and Rosetti soon began experiencing contractions, so Basar told Magoth and Raum that Kthara would soon be born. As Rosetti struggled, the demons sensed that Ana Helstrom and Chris Yen had arrived, so Basar left to handle them. Raum watched in disgust as Kthara was born and Magoth cut the umbilical cord.

Raum is exorcised
While Magoth placed the child in a crib, Raum drew a symbol on the floor and confirmed with Magoth that the child was born in blood. Magoth told Rosetti that she would be like the demons, and Raum prepared to slit her throat, when Daimon Helstrom suddenly rushed in and stabbed Raum with his father's dagger, killing him and freeing Joshua Crow from his possession.[7]
