Biography[]
In Captain America #1, Rathcone planned a successful assassination on Admiral Perkins, causing him to come into conflict with Captain America and Bucky Barnes.[1][2]

- In the comics, Rathcone was a Nazi operative in World War II who attempted to assassinate high-ranking United States military officials, plotting their murders using a chessboard with pieces designed to resemble his targets. In an attempt to kill Captain America, he sent one of his agents to kidnap Bucky Barnes to use him as bait. However, he was soon discovered and defeated by Captain America.
