After hearing a gunshot, Ralph came over and was near Jason Wilkes as his boss, Joseph Manfredi, ordered Wilkes to get back into the car. Ralph and his friend Paul were sent by Manfredi to retrieve Peggy Carter and Edwin Jarvis, two people who had managed to escape Manfredi's captivity. When Paul and Ralph managed to find Jarvis and Carter, Ralph was assigned to put Jarvis back of their truck, taking him into Manfredi's captivity. When Ralph found Paul was on the ground, knocked out, and Ralph said "crap" as he looked to see that Carter had a gun pointed at him. Ralph put the gun down and sat on the ground, next to Paul. Ralph and Paul were left in the dessert by Carter and Jarvis, who took Ralph and Paul's truck.[1]
