As the Clash of the Avengers ended, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye and Ant-Man were captured by Iron Man's team and taken to the Raft for working outside the law. Following the Battle at the HYDRA Siberian Facility, Steve Rogers managed to infiltrate the Raft where he engaged into a confrontation with the US Marshals. Rogers successfully defeated the Marshals and released Clint Barton, Wanda Maximoff, Sam Wilson, and Scott Lang from custody.[1]

During a duel with Luke Cage, Willis Stryker used his battle suit to counter Cage's abilities. However, Cage eventually incapacitated his half-brother, allowing the New York City Police Department to arrest Stryker and take him to a medical facility to allow him to recover from his injuries,[2] before he would be later be detained at the Raft for his crimes.[3]

Hogarth, Chao and Benowitz took on Alisa Jones' case, as Jeri Hogarth managed to get her a deal that would prevent her from being sent to the Raft. Hogarth informed Jones that in the Raft she would be kept in solitary confinement for 23 hours, each and every day.[4]

After Trish Walker ended a string of sadistic vigilante acts with the murder of Gregory Sallinger, Jessica Jones pursued her, took Walker down and knocked her unconscious. Jones later solemnly watched from afar as Walker was transported to the Raft.[3]

  • In the comics, the Raft is an island prison for super-powered criminals located near Ryker's Island.
  • This version of the Raft also replaces Prison 42, a massive prison located in the Negative Zone used by Tony Stark, Hank Pym and Reed Richards to contain non-registered superhumans as they waited for their trials in the original "Civil War" storyline.
