• In the comics, Rachel Leighton was a member of the Serpent Society under the identity of Diamondback who fought by throwing diamond-shaped spikes laced with toxins or explosives. She frequently encountered Captain America and quickly developed feelings for him, eventually leaving the Serpent Society and starting a brief relationship with him. She repeatedly attempted to live an honest life, but frequently ended up temporarily rejoining the Serpent Society or taking other mercenary operations.

• Despite being cut from Captain America: Brave New World, Diamondback did appear as a pocket plush in the film's Happy Meal tie-in.
• Tara Macken was a stunt double for Rosa Salazar in the role of Diamondback.
