Fires of Marseille[]
In 1938, the city of Marseille caught fire. Many items were lost, including a vintage of wine that was lost. A bottle of that wine was later fished out of the Baltic Sea by Murakami and given as a gift to Alexandra Reid who had believed all the bottles to have been lost.[1]
World War II[]
With the Nazi occupation in the full swing of World War II, Jacques Dernier joined the French Resistance. He and the rest of his comrades fought them in the city of Marseille before Dernier was captured taken to Austria where he was imprisoned at HYDRA Base Camp C3.[2]
Birth of a Mercenary[]
On May 19, 1981, Georges Batroc, who became one of the world's most dangerous mercenaries on Interpol's most wanted list, was born in the city of Marseille, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Records of his birth were kept on file and later obtained by S.H.I.E.L.D..[3]
Bootleg Deals[]
In the city of Cannes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, a former Hammer Industries employee boarded the yacht owned by Yuri Klementiev with a briefcase containing a bootleg copy of Stark Industries' Jericho missile developed by Hammer Industries. The yacht then left Cannes and headed for Sochi, Russia.[4]
Alternate Realities[]
Visit to 1549[]
Traveling to an alternate 1549 to try to apprehend Sylvie Laufeydottir in the city of Aix-en-Provence, the Time Variance Authority's Minutemen were attacked. Hunter U-92 and Mobius M. Mobius then went back to investigate the attack, only finding Kablooie gum as evidence.[5]
