Portugal, officially the Portuguese Republic isa unitary semi-presidential republic located in South-Western Europe, on the Iberian Peninsula, and it is the westernmost country of mainland Europe, being bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and south and by Spain to the north and east.

History

At some point in their careers as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Victoria Hand and John Garrett worked together in Lisbon, Portugal on an assignment.

When Hand was believed to be the Clairvoyant, Agent Garrett mentioned that, because he worked with her in Portugal and got to know her there, he didn't believe the accusation. ^[1]
