The Plasma Drill is a S.H.I.E.L.D. equipment used by HYDRA to drill a hole above the underground Kree City.
History
Most of the equipment owned by S.H.I.E.L.D. became owned by HYDRA also due to the infiltration of HYDRA in S.H.I.E.L.D.; that included the Plasma Drill.
HYDRA learned the location of the Kree City was above the Ponce de Leon Theater in San Juan. After establishing the abandoned theater as a temporary base, the terrorists used the drill to cut through the volcanic rock to make a hole to the city. Raina was watching the drill work when an operative summoned her to a meeting Daniel Whitehall was having.
During the Battle for the Kree City, Raina stole the Diviner and entered the hole that the plasma drill had cut. When Skye saw the equipment, she pursued Raina.
