Phineas Horton was a scientist active during the World War II era. One of his most promoted inventions was the so-called Synthetic Man, presented in the Stark Expo in 1943.[1]

- In the comics, Phineas Horton was a renowned scientist during World War II who was responsible for creating the Horton Cells and android Human Torch, who was incorrectly thought to have become Vision. Thomas Maximoff was named after him.
