Rufus Hunts' Torture[]
During World War II, Rufus Hunt was sent to the Philippines to fight alongside the United States Armed Forces. He was captured by the Japanese Army, who tied Hunt's fingers to a Jeep and dragged him around for hours. However, Hunt never revealed the information they wanted, and he was eventually out of their custody.[1]
Ayla Perez's Career[]
On February 5, 1958, Ayla Perez was born in the Philippines. She joined the Philippine Air Force and served as Captain from 1989 through 1993. Perez was then promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and served in that position until 1997.[2]
Post-Blip[]
Global Repatriation Council[]
In 2023, following the Blip, Philippines' population was restored. In the aftermath, the country joined the Global Repatriation Council and Ayla Perez became the representative. In April 2024, on the behalf of Philippines, Perez attended a GRC meeting to discuss the ratification of the Patch Act, arguing against it, however, the GRC was attacked by the Flag Smashers.[2]

Around 2026, the Phillipines were attacked by Colombia after they themselves had been attacked by Argentina. Donald Prescod theorized that the attack on the Phillipines was part of a violent chain reaction caused by a group of Skrulls on Earth.[3]
