Trivia
- During a press conference in October 2014, Kevin Feige confirmed that Phase Three would run between 2016 to 2019 and that Phase Four, and even additional phases, had already been planned or were being planned by saying that "[if] there are more years after 2019, then there will be movies. I hope there will be more years."[8]
- In November 2016, Kevin Feige stated that an Inhumans film could still happen in Phase Four, although noted that he believed it was being developed as a TV series instead.[9] Shortly after, Marvel Television announced that a TV series was being developed, which was intended to not be a reworking of the film.[10]
- In April 2017, Kevin Feige announced that the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers: Endgame might not be named "Phase 4", but instead a different new concept.[11] However, in December 2018, it was announced that the phase would be indeed named Phase Four.[4]
- In April 2019, Feige revealed that Marvel Studios has a plan for Phase Four to run for five years, between 2020 to 2024.[12]
- This will be the first phase to not have any Stan Lee cameos due to Lee's death in November 2018.
- Spider-Man: Far From Home was originally slated as the first film of Phase Four, but it was later changed to the last film of Phase Three.
- This is the first phase where an actor will both star in and produce a film.
- This is the first phase to include films and TV series'.
