Biography[]

Hacking Stark Industries[]

"The things I do for you, Tony..."
―Pepper Potts[src]

Pepper Potts was hired as Tony Stark's assistant and spent her birthday working. The following day, she received a call from asking how she celebrated her birthday. Potts replied that she spent it working, to which Stark replied by encouraging Potts to date. However, Potts explained that Stark, Obadiah Stane, and Happy Hogan, prompting Stark to suggest that she and Hogan would make a good couple. Potts disagreed and asked what Stark wanted. Stark then asked Potts to check for record of his captors to find out who within the company was selling weapons to the Ten Rings. Potts commented that she does strange things for him, so Stark teased her, saying to do it for Hogan rather than for Stark.

Potts relented and went to Stark Industries Headquarters, hacking the computer and learning that Stane was responsible. Stane suddenly appeared and asked what they should do and offered Potts a drink, which she expected. Stane complained about Stark costing the company money, but Potts assured him that Stark was having a hard time and would move on. Stane told Potts that Stark was lucky to have her, so Potts thanked him. He offered to walk her out, taking her hostage.

James Rhodes freed Potts and met up with him, and Stark told them about Stane's betrayal. Rhodes was surprised, but Stark simply explain that power had corrupted Stane. Potts asked if it would do the same to Stark, but Stark responded that the power of his friends corrupted him more, to which Potts agreed.[1]

Personality[]

Potts is deeply loyal to Pepper Potts, to the point where even Stark criticizes her for her consistent working. Potts even worked on her birthday, despite Stark encouraging her to have a social life instead. She was willing to hack into Stark Industries for Stark, and worried about him getting corrupted by power.
