"All faith is built on risk. So that's what we have to take."
―Pagon[src]

Pagon was a member of the Skrull Resistance who served as Gravik's second-in-command during their Secret Invasion of Earth. During this time, Pagon would work alongside Gravik to perform reconnaissance missions in the name of locating the Harvest. However, he was callously murdered by Gravik once he spoke out against his leadership.

Pagon overseeing Brogan's transformation

Pagon met with Brogan and, after confirming Brogan’s desire to fight for the goals of the Skrull Resisrance, oversaw his replacement of Martin Wallace, guiding the Skrull to take Wallace's appearance and memories, while also mocking Wallace that Americans Against Russia's dreams would come true.[1]

Planning an Attack[]

"Zirksu will drive you. You take the cash to this address. You deal with Poprishchin and no one else. He'll give you two bags. You get 'em to the Moscow safe house undisturbed and intact."
―Pagon to G'iah[src]

Pagon approached Gravik and warned him that Nick Fury was on Earth, but said that their spy reported he would not be a threat since he was out of shape. Gravik commented on the limited number of people who knew the information, asking whether it was to protect him or the cause. Pagon claimed that Gravik was the cause, but Gravik corrected him, saying that the cause was home.

Pagon pulled G'iah away from her conversation with Beto and tasked her with retrieving bags from Vasily Poprishchin. G'iah brought the bags back and Pagon complimented her efforts, saying that they would move forward with their plan now that they had the bait.[1] While Gravik initiated the attack, Pagon went to the location where he was expecting to find the Harvest, only to come up empty.[3]

Harvest Discussions[]

"Harvest wasn't there."
"Then it's back to scavenging. Our DNA selection remains extremely limited."
"I'll send out teams."
―Pagon and Rosa Dalton Skrull[src]

The attack was succesful, and Pagon was in the room while the Skrulls applauded Gravik upon his return to New Skrullos. Gravik told Pagon to continue his research involving the Harvest, so he went to check on the Skrulls impersonating Rosa and Victor Dalton. Pagon told "Rosa" that the Harvest was not where he was supposed to find it, so "Rosa" said they would resume working. She commented on their limited selection, so Pagon said he would send teams to search. "Rosa" lamented that the searching was meant to be done, and Pagon shared the frustration, noting that all of the locations which Gravik gave him were empty. He suggested that Gravik was not always right, upsetting "Rosa." "Rosa" asked Pagon to leave, so he exited the room, allowing her and "Victor" to continue their work.[3]

Rescue of Brogan[]

Pagon breaks into where Brogan is held

"Did we make it home, Pagon?"
"Almost there, bro."
Brogan and Pagon[src]

Pagon was recruited to assist in the rescue of Brogan, who had been arrested during the Bombing of Vossoyedineniye Square. As they arrived at the FSB site where Brogan was being held, Pagon and Gravik armed themselves and went inside while G'iah and Beto waited in the car. The two discretely entered the butcher shop, and Pagon threw flash bombs into the kitchen area. Pagon and Gravik then entered the kitchen adn started shooting at the guards, killing them. Once all the guards were killed, Pagon broke inside and helped Brogan to his feet. Gravik stopped the pair from leaving to ensure that Brogan had not revealed any information, and Brogan insisted that he did not. Pagon then brought Brogan to the car at Gravik's request.

As they drove to their safe house, they found it surrounded by the authorities. Realizing that it appeared as though Brogan had revealed the location of the safe house, they drove into the woods. Gravik gave Pagon a gun, as Pagon realized that Brogan was the most likely perosn who revealed the location of the safe house. Brogan asked if they reached New Skrullos, so Pagon lied and said they were almost there as he brought Brogan out of the car. Pagon then led Brogan into the woods and killed him. Pagon then returned the gun to Gravik as they drove away.[3]

Infiltrating Royal Navy[]

Pagon, Beto & Zirksu

Pagon, Beto, and Zirksu, prepare to infiltrate the Royal Navy

"Why did you join the resistance, Beto?"
"Um... I did not want our people to keep running."
"You joined the same reason I did. Not fear of the past, faith in our future."
―Pagon and Beto[src]

Pagon, Beto and Zirksu were tasked with infiltrating the Royal Navy in order to order a missile to be launched at UN-1. Beto asked if Pagon thought the plan would work, so Pagon reminded Beto of their faith in the future of the Skrulls, adding that faith was based on risk. Pagon assigned Beto and Zirksu the people they would be impersonating, and the three left to complete their mission. As they reached HMNB Clyde, the Skrulls shapeshifted into their targets and Pagon entered the HMS Neptune.

Pagon and the HMS Neptune's captain prepare to launch

That night, Pagon was approached by the captain of the submarine, with an order signed by "Bob Fairbanks" to launch a missile at a United Nations delegation. Pagon told the captain that the order was authenticated and he was obliged to strike. The captain wanted to talk to central command, but Pagon told him that the orders came from there, noting that he would be removed if he did not obey. Pagon and the captain prepared to launch and both inserted their keys into the keyholes. The two initated the launch sequence, but the order came through to abort the launch. Pagon reached for the captain's key, but the captain took it, glaring at Pagon.[2]

Pagon speaks to Gravik

Pagon confronts Gravik about G'iah

"You had another chance to kill Fury today, and you didn't take it."
―Pagon to Gravik[src]

As Pagon helped prepare for the Skrull Resistance's next attack, he approached Gravik and shared his suspicion that G'iah was a mole. However, Gravik revealed that he already knew and reminded the Skrulls that the goal was for people to believe that Russia was responsible for the attack.

Pagon shoots Talos

The Skrulls launched an attack on United States President James Ritson from inside a helicopter. Gravik and Pagon dropped ropes from the helicopter for Skrulls to descend and engage in a firefight with the United States Secret Service. Pagon saw that Nick Fury and Talos had joined the fight, so he told Gravik. Gravik saw Talos attempting to free Ritson from his car, so he ordered Pagon to take care of it. Pagon shot Talos in the shoulder and saw Gravik murder Talos in cold blood but chose not to kill Nick Fury, who was able to successfully rescue Ritson. As reinforcements arrived, Pagon went on a motorcycle and took Gravik away from the fight.[4]

Confronting Gravik[]

Pagon Death

Pagon gets killed by Gravik

"You told me Fury hid the Avengers' DNA, but it wasn't in any of the locations you provided. No, Fury never trusted you, and it makes me start to wonder why should we–"
―Pagon to Gravik[src]

Pagon drove Gravik, Beto, and Kreega back to New Skrullos and stayed in the car as the rest got out, frustrated with what had happened. The Skrulls' operatives were assembled, and Pagon said that Gravik should be proud due to Talos' death. However, Gravik expressed frustration that Ritson was alive. Gravik said that they would have been able to start their war had Pagon successfully stolen the Harvest, but Pagon countered by saying that he would not have. He pointed out that his actions seemed to indicate that Gravik did not want Nick Fury dead, but Gravik simply said that Gravik had what Fury needed. Pagon demanded an explanation, claiming that Gravik's lack of knowledge of the Harvest's location indicated that the Fury never trusted him. Pagon suggested that the Skrulls should not trust him either, but Gravik cut him off by impaling him with his Flora colossi powers gained from the Super-Skrull Machine, killing him.[5]

Legacy[]

Skrull Rebellion[]

"Pagon thought he had a voice, but none of you do. You're faceless and you're nameless."
Gravik to the Skrull Resistance[src]

Seeing Pagon's brutal death at the hands of his leader, some Skrulls, including Beto, realized that Gravik was no longer the leader they wanted and became disillusioned with Gravik's leadership. These rebellious Skrulls planned to capture and kill Gravik, which started with Beto asking about Pagon. Gravik simply claimed that Pagon had failed them, but when Gravik got distracted by a phone call, the Skrulls attacked. However, they underestimated Gravik's enhanced powers and were all killed by him, including Beto.[5]

Personality[]

"Our fearless leader isn't always right."
―Pagon[src]

Serving as Gravik’s second-in-command, Pagon was entirely devoted to the Skrull Resistance’s plans to invade Earth and take it as their new home planet. He put immense and unwavering faith in the Skrulls’ future on Earth, where they could live with their true face, no longer required to hide or keep running. It was this faith that led Pagon to join Gravik’s cause, and Pagon was willing to take any risks necessary due to this faith. Pagon was extremely ruthless, executing Brogan on Gravik’s orders when they suspected that Brogan had leaked intel to Sonya Falsworth, and shared Gravik's hatred towards the human race.

Despite his faith in a better future for the Skrulls on Earth, Pagon was ambitious and sought to challenge Gravik’s leadership, as shown when he noted that Gravik was not always right when determining the location of the Harvest for the Super-Skrull Machine. Later, after the failed attempt on Ritson's life, Pagon confronted Gravik and openly expressed his dissatisfaction with Gravik for failing to retrieve the Harvest and repeatedly sparing Fury’s life. Despite being Fury's enemy, Pagon started to believe he might have been correct in his decision not to trust Gravik. When Pagon asked Gravik why the Skrull Resistance should trust him when Nick Fury never had, this act was seen as disobedience and Pagon was immediately executed by Gravik.
