"We are acting on a new lead. We've located a U.S. missile silo in the Pacific."
Jemma Simmons to Daisy Johnson[src]

The Pacific Missile Silo is a missile silo of the United States Air Force located on an island in the Pacific Ocean.

History

"If that's where they plan to do it, they'll be there ahead of you."
"Yes. The silo's staff went silent five hours ago."
Daisy Johnson and Jemma Simmons[src]

The Pacific Missile Silo was a facility of the United States Air Force, but it was invaded by Hive and his followers in an attempt to launch a missile equipped with a warhead containing the Absolution Virus. The silo's staff was captured and held hostages as to force them to help proceed with the launch. However, the silo was also infiltrated by a S.H.I.E.L.D. team comprised of Alphonso Mackenzie, Melinda May, Lincoln Campbell and Yo-Yo Rodriguez, in an attempt to stop the launch.

May and Campbell were able to hack into the silo's surveillance system and established an uplink which enabled S.H.I.E.L.D. to end the launch thanks to a kill code. While May left to recover the warhead and stumbled upon Holden Radcliffe and two Primitives in the warhead room, Campbell was confronted by Hive, but managed to escape and lured Hive into an ambush set by Mackenzie and Rodriguez, who had installed a Theta Brain-Wave Frequency Machine in the corridor to force Hive to relive the memories of his past hosts, heavily confusing him.

Although Giyera managed to extract the warhead before May could seize it and took it away in a HYDRA QuadCopter, S.H.I.E.L.D. was able to release the hostages and took them out of the missile silo. They were chased by Hive and confronted him just outside the facility, and were eventually able to capture him thanks to a Suspension Gel chamber, before leaving the silo.[1]
