History[]
After finding information on more Centipede Soldiers, Phil Coulson recruited Mike Peterson to help him raid one of the bases. They found the base by tracking one of the soldiers, Brian Hayward. When they arrived, the soldiers jumped out of the storage containers and attacked the team. When Hayward threw Melinda May into a bin, Coulson shot him with a Night-Night Gun. Hayward was knocked down for all of two seconds before getting back up. A confused Coulson wondered why the sedative didn't work. A soldier soon stabbed Peterson with a metal rod, but Peterson managed to fight through the pain, incapacitating Hayward. As the other two soldiers ran, Coulson and Peterson interrogated Hayward, who pleaded and said he won't talk. His Backscatter X-Ray Eye Implant was then exploded by his handler.[1]
