Attempting to alert Vice President Rodriguez to the kidnapping of President Matthew Ellis, Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes and Tony Stark called him during his Christmas dinner at Number One Observatory Circle. Rodriguez lied, and said he would secure the president and get F-22 Raptors in the air. Believing him, Rhodes hung up the phone and left him to his dinner.[1]
